Instruction on genealogical research techniques are
offered to members and non-members of the Society at no charge. At the
present time, genealogical research for members is not offered.
In order to accomplish this goal, the Society
provides three unique services:
Records Archive - Any member,
may submit either original or copies of family and/or historical
documents to our Clan Genealogist for preservation.
Genealogy Database - The Clan Strachan Society is one of the
few Scottish organizations that has a qualified Genealogist. Any
member of the Society may submit their family
lineage to
Garry Bryant for records archival. As additional lineages are
submitted, they are compared against other records maintained in the
Genealogy Database to determine if common lineage exists.
Clan
Strachan Y-DNA Project - Given the importance of Y-DNA
testing for genealogical purposes, the Society offers additional
information on this page for all individuals of Scottish Heritage.
